In 2021 If you were thinking Clarks, you probably weren’t thinking action sport shoe, but all of that was about to change – for kids age 8-14, at least.
Clarks approached EXTREME to help them source five action sports athletes to be sponsored by the brand and to be involved in the development of a new action sports shoe. EXTREME took the challenge one step further and offered to make the launch content for the shoe too.
Once EXTREME had the talent in place we ran three key content capture sessions. The first was a real shoe development session where all the athletes talked with Clarks about the shoes. The second and third where to capture the shoe in action. One shoot in Paris, remotely due to COVID travel restrictions and and another in Europe’s largest indoor skate park.
In the skate park shoot we ran three shooting groups, one talent with each, simultaneously; two shooting video and a third shooting stills. All briefed on key match cuts to capture to ensure all of the content tied together.
When the campaign launched along with a stellar media plan the content received 13 million views and 200k click-throughs to the product in the first 24 hours.
